The story follows Liberty from the time she is bought in 1774 by George Washington to the start of the American Revolution. Liberty is on the colonists' side of the coming revolution, but her brother Bruno, who lives in the Governor's Palace, is on the other side. Can Liberty help the patriots to foil the governor's plan?
Illustrated with lively drawings by Andy Elkerton, Huzzah for Liberty! is a dog's-eye view of the exciting events that led to the creation of our nation. Researched on-site at Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, the book includes an Afterword telling more about the real people, places, and events in the book.
